Restauration of 19th-century villa - 2020-23 | Contributing architect on consulting basis for Svenska Moderna Hus
Adjusting and redrawing an original proposal for a more time coherent design and additional features. Kitchen and bathroom blueprints and thorough site supervision.
This was a dilapidated early 19th-century house that hadn't been maintained for a long time. With four different extensions, all built in completely incoherent building styles, this house was in need of a holistic approach. In order to neither become a pastiche nor look newly built, comprehensive in-depth architectural studies, of both the era and neighborhood's building techniques and traditions were executed. The project was followed up with site supervision multiple times a week to make sure everything was done correctly or to be adjusted when stumbling upon obstacles.
